Everyone can do Yoga

The Pond

The most wonderful thing about yoga is that almost anyone can do it.  Yoga is not just for slim and trim young people.  Yoga can be practiced by people of all ages, body types, and abilities.

Although you may not be able to do the exotic twists and bends you sometimes see adept yoga practitioners putting thier bodies in, a regiment of yoga movements tailored to your body will bring you many benefits.

A few of the benefits of yoga include,

  • improved flexibility, stamina, strength, muscle tone and range of motion in the joints
  • more efficient metabolism, and healthier cardiopulmonary functioning
  • good posture and balance
  • enhanced digestive function and elimination

Join our two special guests to learn how yoga can make a difference in your life.  Our first guest is Pat Berger, a yoga instructor who owns and operates The Pond...a pool of wellness in Oakland.  Our second guest is Marty Brooks, a teacher at Lawrence High School who has been practicing yoga for six years.
